Why do teeth and gum problems occur during pregnancy?

Why do teeth and gum problems occur during pregnancy?

It is equally important to take care of teeth and mouth during pregnancy as well as overall health. Hormonal changes during pregnancy increase the problem of teeth and gums in women. If the health of the mother's mouth is not good, it can also affect the development of the child's teeth and gums. Therefore, pregnant women need to take special care of their teeth and gums.

Dental problems seen during pregnancy are called 'pregnancy gingivitis'. It is a type of gum disease that occurs due to hormonal disturbances during pregnancy. Redness of the gums, swelling and bleeding from the gums are seen at this time.

It can be treated with scaling, a method of cleaning teeth. If not treated in time, it can also cause serious gum problems. Teeth grinding is another problem seen during pregnancy. Hormonal disturbances can increase the amount of plaque on the teeth. If not treated in time, it can cause tooth decay. Which causes problems such as swelling of the gums, bleeding, sore mouth and breathing, and loose teeth.

Pregnant women must brush their teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to avoid plaque build-up, and also use dental floss.

Similarly, morning sickness is also a problem seen in pregnancy. Stomach acid during vomiting can erode the enamel on the teeth, which increases tooth sensitivity and causes tooth decay. Pregnant women who experience morning sickness should rinse their mouth after vomiting and brush their teeth as soon as possible.

Care should be taken about the medicines taken during pregnancy. Some medications can affect oral health. As some drugs used to treat nausea and vomiting dry the mouth, tooth decay and gum problems may occur. Pregnant women should consult their dentist and obstetrician about any medications they are taking.

Taking good care of your teeth and mouth means not only yourself, but also your child's teeth and gum development. Bacteria that cause gum disease can also be transferred to the baby during birth, which can increase the risk of tooth and gum disease in the baby.

As far as possible during pregnancy, some treatments related to teeth and mouth should be stopped. For example, X-ray should not be done in the first trimester of pregnancy. Bleaching, a method of cleaning teeth, should not be done in this situation. Therefore, after deciding to give birth to a child, you should first find out what your dental problem is and treat it beforehand.

  1. I was diagnosed of HSV (Herpes) few years ago and my doctor told me there was no permanent cure for the disease. I was given medication to slow down the progress of the virus. At the initial stage it was not so bad till it progressed to a stage were i had difficulties going about my daily activities because i constantly felt pains in my penis, and around my genital were i had these blisters. I was totally devastated and i was even ashamed to complain to anyone. I saw a publication about a doctor called Dr.Water, and from what i read, he was using herbal medicines to cure illnesses like HERPES, Human papillomavirus, ALS, Diabetes, HIV, and so on. I opted to contacted him via email, after a few dicussion, i ordered for his medicine. He prepared the medicine and shipped it to me. When i received the herbal medicine, I took it according to his instructions. After using it as instructed, few weeks later i went to the hospital to have a blood test and the test came out negetive. To my greatest surprise, i was cured of this stubborn virus just by using a simple herbal product.
