The practice of making glassware was not new then. Transparent glass bottles were used as useful items in the 16th century. But at that time glass bottles were made expensive and small in size. From the 1870s to the 1980s, such glass-making industries began to open in Paris, Sydney, Melbourne, and even Philadelphia.
