HAMS Hospital pulmonary care specialist Raju Pangeeni said, "Many of our COPD patients do not need regular follow-up because their symptoms have diminished. Some people say they do not need oxygen therapy. Vehicle emissions are the largest source of air pollution in Kathmandu. One study reported that up to 70% of Kathmandu's road-level air pollution came from widespread vehicle use. Concerns gradually decrease. Many worry that air quality is deteriorating as life returns to normal.

Less air pollution means visibility is better than before.

The summit of Everest is 200 kilometers from Kathmandu and is now visible for the first time in decades from the capital of Nepal.

Residents of Kathmandu have always loved watching the world's highest peak from their home, but the industry is already in heavy production, car use is low and air travel is practically lower than ever.
